Today, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma inaugurated the H&B Water Park at Liando Resorts, Sakawrtuichhun, established by the family of Pu R. Tlanghmingthanga.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Minister expressed happiness that Mizoram can now boast of a large and modern water park, comparable to some of the best in India’s North-East. He said that while people of Mizoram often had to travel to other states to enjoy such facilities, it is a matter of great satisfaction that families and children can now enjoy a good water park within the state itself.
Pu R. Liansangkima shared a brief technical note, recalling that nearly ten years ago, during a visit to Nicco Park’s ‘Wet n Wild’ in Kolkata, the idea of setting up a water park in Mizoram had taken root. After about five years of careful planning and preparation, the dream has now been realized. He added that the park was built for the benefit of the people of Mizoram and hoped it would serve as a place for recreation, relaxation, and wellness.
